Pontoon, Buoy and Ice Boom in Oil City
New pontoon and buoy designed to replace a boom designed and built by the US Corp of Engineers in 1984.
Design and assistance during the construction of the Oil City Ice Boom. A new pontoon and a buoy were designed to replace the old boom. The preparation of specifications for the works was also made. Geniglace was also involved to oversee the installation. The US Corp of Engineers designed and built the boom in 1984.

Reason For Project
Client needed to prevent ice from jamming up and flooding the city.
Solution
We redesigned (modernized) the existing booms.
Outcome
Booms were built, installed and still in service.
