Design, fabrication and deployment of an ice boom to reduce the amount of ice generated in the Rideau River.

For Hydro Quebec.

Problem

Flooding (risk of floods) due to the buildup of ice (verify this is accurate enough) to reduce the amount of ice generated in the Rideau River.

Solution

Design, fabrication and deployment of an ice boom that forms an ice cover (frazil ice gets blocked by the boom, becomes ice cover) no more ice jams no more floods.
