Design and supply of components for two permanent safety booms at the reservoirs of the Chenaux and Stuartville generating stations.
This project consisted of the design and supply of all components for two permanent safety booms. The booms are to be installed at the reservoirs of the Chenaux and Stuartville generating stations.

Reason For Project
The flow in the tailrace can vary from 600 to 9000 cms. Ice along the shores forms in winter and its release produces ice impact on the boom.
Solution
Replaced existing booms with upgraded flood proof booms that could withstand any flow of debris and ice.
Outcome
Boom was built, installed and still in service.
